This evening, to no surprise to anyone who plays Ark on consoles, Studio Wildcard has delayed the latest patch for consoles by another 2 days.
Update for console survivors, the patches now have their earliest ETA updated to the 26th of April, sorry about the delay folks. pic.twitter.com/t96DGG0qb2

Again console players are left with stale dinos, game breaking bugs and no new content. The Ark easter event hasn’t even happened on consoles yet, and in case you don’t know, Easter has been over for 8 days at the time of this writing.
No reason was given for the delay, but this isn’t out of the ordinary. Ark players who play on console have been consistently lied to and had major delays. Resulting in console players losing dinos and items due to game breaking bugs, disconnects and roll backs.
Wildcard constantly promoted this patch on their twitter and in their official forums, giving console players an ETA of April 24th some time ago.
I understand ETA means estimated time of arrival, but every single patch is constantly delayed on console. When the patches do get released, the biggest issues in Ark are never fixed.
For example, Blue screening on the PS4. Blue screening is when you are playing your game and the game crashes to a blue error screen, Leaving you completely vulnerable to loss. It doesn’t matter where you are, air, water or land.
On top of the crash, it takes several minutes to log back in and be able to move you and your mount to safety. It is very, very frustrating for PS4 players.
Ark does not balance things differently for PVP and PVE, so anything they deem overpowered in PVP will be destroyed in PVE, In fact the way they fix PVE is just to disable features. (Picking Up Wild Dinos) (Giga Enrage Killing its rider and everything around it)
I like Ark and have a lot of time in the game, but I will quit playing if they don’t start being honest and communicating in a timely fashion. You can’t treat your players, the people who pay your salaries like this Wildcard.
Im open to interview and hash this out for another article, but until then I’m going to keep spreading the facts as they are now. It’s your move Wildcard.
