Valorant has been in a closed beta state for two months now, and Riot Games has finally gave an official release date. This FPS is similar to Counter-Strike, but will be free-to-play in a “majority of the regions worldwide.” Including North America and Europe, of course.
Valorant will launch on June 2nd, with the game’s beta closing in a little over a week. The gap between launch and end of the beta will give the Riot the opportunity to reset accounts and introduce new content. Current Valorant players will have to start fresh when the game official opens to everyone else.
Riot has already confirmed plenty of new content, including additional game modes, characters, maps and more. Additionally, more servers will be opened to meet the game’s demand — located in Atlanta, Dallas, London, Madrid and Warsaw — which will help with latency.
