Ubisoft has announced an unfortunate delay for the team-based shooter Rainbow Six Extraction.

The game will not make its September 16th release date, which was revealed during Ubisoft’s E3 2021 last month. Instead, it will be targeted for a January 2022 launch, with no specific release date.

Ubisoft made the announcement in a blog post, saying We are embracing the opportunity to take additional time to bring this vision to life in the way it deserves in January 2022. We are confident this will ensure Rainbow Six Extraction is the immersive, cooperative, and thrilling experience we set out to create, and the one you aspire to play.”

It’s been a short time since the announcement of the game’s release date, so hopefully this doesn’t negatively impact the game overall.
