Capcom is releasing an official demo for the upcoming Resident Evil 3 remake. Players can catch a glimpse of what to expect when the full game launches in a little over two weeks. Resident Evil Resistance, the four-player co-op survival, will also be releasing a beta later this month.
The Resident Evil 3 demo, of course, features Jill Valentine as she tries to escape from Raccoon City, but is hindered by the Nemesis. The demo also has 20 Mr. Charlie statues strewn about, as an extra challenge.
Resident Evil 3’s remake is similar to Resident Evil 2’s, with new actions elements and other changes for better playability. Jill has a dodge-counter move and there are explosive barrels to help her out of many situations.
The Resident Evil Resistance beta starts on March 27th. You will be able to play as one of the four survivors or the Mastermind. Your objective is to escape or, if you’re the Mastermind, lie traps. Resident Evil Resistance will be a free with any purchase of Resident Evil 2, instead of standalone release. The Resistance beta will be available from the 27th until the game officially launches.
The Resident Evil 2 demo will launch March 18th at 9 p.m. PST/ March 19th at 12 a.m. EST for Xbox One, and a hour later on PS4 and Steam. Once you complete the demo, there’ll be a special trailer waiting for you. Also, you can play the demo as many times as you please.
