It’s under a week now until the Xbox Series X and Series S consoles launch, and Microsoft has already stated that many of the platform’s most-popular games will be getting a boost to performance on the new consoles. Sea of Thieves, Rare’s pirate adventure, is on that list. The game will receive improvements on both the Xbox Series X and Series S.
According to tweet posted by Rare, both consoles will offer improved load times and 60 FPS. However, only the Xbox Series X will target 4K, with the Series S running it at 1080p.
These improvements fall in line with other adjustments made by other developers. Fortnite will support 4K and 60 FPS on the Xbox Series X and 1080p/ 60 FPS on the Series S. Halo: The Master Chief Collection has also announced similar improvements with 120 FPS/ 4K on Series X and 1080p on Series S. However, the update will not be available until November 17th.
