Sony man­aged to keep the price of the PlaySta­tion 5 a secret, stay­ing silent on the sub­ject of price and a release day. Well, dur­ing today’s PS5 show­case event, Sony final­ly unveiled what fans and con­sumers have been wait­ing so long for. 

Towards the very end of the pre­sen­ta­tion Sony announced the PS5 will be $499 USD for the stan­dard edi­tion (one with the Blue-ray dri­ve) and $399 US for the all Dig­i­tal Edi­tion. Both will release on Novem­ber 12th.

Price And Release Date Announced For The PS5

Based on a post to the PlaySta­tion Blog, Sony stat­ed that release date does include sev­er­al mar­kets: the US, Japan, Cana­da, Mex­i­co, Aus­tralia, New Zealand and South Korea. Then on Novem­ber 19th it will launch in Europe, Mid­dle East, South Amer­i­ca Asia and South Africa.

Microsoft recent­ly detailed the price of the Xbox Series X and the con­sole’s release date. They also announced the price and date for Xbox Series S, as well ss the all dig­i­tal ver­sion of the Series X. Both of these con­soles pre-orders start in less than a week, on Sep­tem­ber 22nd.
