Epic games has final­ly worked the kinks out of Fort­nite’s Play­ground mode and opened it up to all play­ers. Play­ground is a mode where play­ers can team up with their friends and explore the bat­tle royale map. If you hap­pen to die, you will just respawn. You are free to build, explore and prac­tice with all the loot while in a Play­ground lobby.

• You’ll have one hour to cre­ate, play and train as you wish. 
• Drop into the Bat­tle Royale map with a squad of friends for an hour
• Friend­ly Fire is on
• Play­ers respawn on elim­i­na­tion unless downed by the storm
• The storm does­n’t start clos­ing in for 55m, and takes 5 min­utes to close in
• Resources gath­ered grant 10x the nor­mal rate.
• 100 Lla­mas will be spawned on the map
• Chests & Ammo Box­es spawn 100% of the time

On top of Play­ground going live, Epic Games also released some more free con­tent for Fort­nite, both Bat­tle Royale and Save The World PVE modes.

Battle Royale

Drum Gun added

• The Drum Gun is a hybrid weapon that com­bines the stop­ping pow­er of a rifle with the sup­pres­sive abil­i­ty and fire rate of an SMG. 
• Avail­able in Uncom­mon and Rare variants. 
  • 26/27 base damage.
• 50 round capacity.
• Uses Medi­um Ammo.
• Can be found from floor loot, chests, and Vend­ing Machines.

• Stink Bomb added 
  • Hurls a grenade that unleash­es a cloud that dam­ages ene­mies over time. Does­n’t per­sist out­side of missions.
• Freedom’s Her­ald Pis­tol added to the Week­ly Store. 
  • Launch­es fire­crack­ers that bounce off walls, and will knock­back and dam­age ene­mies in a small radius when they explode.

• The Lynx Assault Rifle has been added to the Week­ly Store. 
  • A slow fir­ing burst assault rifle with above aver­age head­shot dam­age and excel­lent stability.
