The isometric action RPG Path of Exile is coming to Xbox One.
Developer Grinding Gear Games has stated that the Xbox One version will stay sepearte from the PC version. The reasoning behind this is due to “small gameplay differences between the two versions, such as the number of Flask slots and how some skills are targeted”. Both versions of the game will be updated alongside the PC version.
The free-to-play model will remain however there was no statement that it will mirror what is currently on PC. Co-founder Chris Wilson did say that they made sure to “completely separate our monetization from gameplay” and that there will be no way to improve characters or wealth with real world money.
When Path of Exile launches on Xbox One, it will contain all five major expansions and the 3.0.0 expansion that launches later this year. No release date was give, but more news will be released in the coming weeks.
