Overwatch’s New Hero, Moria, Now Available for All Platforms

Bliz­zard added the 26th hero to Over­watch’s ros­ter today, named Moria. She is now avail­able to all play­ers on PS4, Xbox One, and PC. Accord­ing to Bliz­zard, Moria is a “bril­liant geneti­cist who pur­sues sci­en­tif­ic dis­cov­ery unbur­dened by ethics”, and it shows. 

Mori­a’s main role is a heal­er, but she does have a few dam­ag­ing attacks. Her lead­ing abil­i­ty is Biot­ic Grasp, allow­ing her to left hand to expend “biot­ic ener­gy” to heal allies in front of her. While her right hand is more of a weapon, which saps a ene­mies’ health, heal­ing Moira and replen­ish­ing her biot­ic ener­gy with a long-range beam weapon.

BIOTIC ORB

• Moira launch­es a rebound­ing biot­ic sphere; she can choose between a regen­er­a­tion effect that heals the allies it pass­es through, or a decay effect that deals dam­age to enemies

FADE

• Moira quick­ly tele­ports a short distance

COALESCENCE

• Moira chan­nels a long-range beam that both heals allies and bypass­es bar­ri­ers to dam­age her enemies

Over­watch is hav­ing a free week­end event, which starts tomor­row on Novem­ber 17th and runs through the 20th on all plat­forms. Mori­a’s release is just in time for this event, so any new play­ers of Over­watch dur­ing the free week­end, can try out this new Hero.
