Nioh Goes Gold, Launching Soon

After many years of barely clinging to existence, Nioh has been completed.  Team Ninja announced that the game went gold yesterday, and it’ll be hitting the shelves on February 7th in North America, 8th in Europe, and 9th in Japan.

David Bull at PlayStation Blog does a fantastic job of breaking down the mechanics we can expect.  Team Ninja struck out from their deep roots in action and fighting, adding in heavy elements of RPG.  The result sounds like a wonderful experience, and it’s been in development so long nobody remembers being hyped about it!

If you’re interested in preordering, there’s a normal and deluxe edition, which comes with a season pass and in game perks.

In Meta:  Although I’m hopeful for Nioh’s success, the presence of a season pass option is a bit worrisome.  Hopefully the devs didn’t have to compromise on the core game to make sure DLC was an option.
