Much Needed Ark PS4 Patch Delayed Again

Today Stu­dio Wild­card com­mu­ni­ty “over­lord and asso­ciate pro­duc­er” Jat post­ed a tweet con­firm­ing that the next big update to the huge­ly pop­u­lar sur­vival dinosaur game Ark Sur­vival Evolved has been again delayed.

PlaySta­tion update won’t make it today guys. Sor­ry! Should be tomor­row, and Valen­tines will ofc run for the entire week for missed time.

This leaves the Playsta­tion com­mu­ni­ty very frus­trat­ed as this patch does­n’t just add new con­tent, such as the antic­i­pat­ed Tek tier items but also promis­es to help fix some game break­ing bugs. “Blue screen­ing” is very com­mon while play­ing Ark right now. Blue screen­ing is when Ark ps4 crash­es to a blue screen with a Playsta­tion error mes­sage requir­ing the game be com­plete­ly restart­ed leav­ing your sur­vivor and any dinosaur you were rid­ing com­plete­ly defense­less for sev­er­al min­utes as you restart Ark and log back in, result­ing in many lost dinos and valu­able items. 

A cou­ple of attempts to fix the issue have been made with mixed suc­cess among sur­vivors. This delay is heart break­ing for those who expe­ri­ence the issue regularly.

I cant help but want to point my fin­ger at Sony. Sony already made it dif­fi­cult for PS4 own­ers to get Ark, giv­ing the Xbox the con­sole exclu­sive for an entire year. Sony also delayed the pre­vi­ous 2 patch­es for Ark on the PS4. 

While not per­fect, Stu­dio Wild­card pro­vides time­ly infor­ma­tion to its fans and play­er base regard­ing Ark updates and con­tent via their Twit­ter and Com­mu­ni­ty Forums  

I hope tomor­row brings us the update, not just anoth­er delay.
