Nin­ten­do showed off the next Metroid game dur­ing its Direct E3 2021 show, but it’s unlike­ly what fans were look­ing for. Metroid Dread is a side-scroller, and will be releas­ing on Nin­ten­do Switch on Octo­ber 8th. It was­n’t Metroid Prime 4, but it will hope­ful­ly be good enough until we hear more about the main entry.

Nin­ten­do is releas­ing a set of Ami­i­bo along­side Metroid Dread. They are fig­ures of Samus and Emmi (the robot seen in the trail­er). Nin­ten­do has­n’t announced how the Ami­i­bo fig­ures will inter­act with the game, but they like­ly will at a lat­er date.
