Injustice 2 Confirmed For May Release Date

Injus­tice 2 has been con­firmed for May 16 by Ed Boon and the Nether­Realm Stu­dios twit­ter account. It was clar­i­fied that the release date only applies to the Amer­i­c­as. No oth­er infor­ma­tion was given.

While infor­ma­tion is scarce, there have been num­ber of char­ac­ters con­firmed. Harley Quinn and Dead­shot had a reveal trail­er; Won­der Woman and Blue Bee­tle also had their own trail­er.  While these char­ac­ters did not have a trail­er, they have been con­firmed: Super­man, Bat­man, Super­girl, Aqua­man, Atroc­i­tus, and Goril­la Grodd. It is unknown how large the ros­ter will be how­ev­er Warn­er Broth­ers have claimed it will be the largest DC ros­ter in any fight­ing game. 

The game con­tin­ues the sto­ry from Injus­tice: Gods Among Us. It will have Bat­man and oth­er DC heroes rebuild­ing soci­ety after Super­man’s reign. Much of the fight­ing sys­tems will remain the same, but there will be new addi­tions. One of the biggest addi­tions will be a gear sys­tem. Dif­fer­ent pieces of cloth­ing drop ran­dom­ly and can be equipped for var­i­ous stat boosts. Oth­er details have yet to be reveal, but expect more as we move clos­er to May.
