We Happy Few, that creepy game shown during Microsoft’s E3 2016 presentation has been in early access for the Xbox One and PC for quite some time now. Soon the finished game will be available for all to enjoy. On April 13th 2018 We Happy Few will be available worldwide for the Xbox One, PC and Playstation 4, featuring a full length campaign played from the perspective of three “moderately terrible” playable characters, each with their own story.
If you haven’t seen or read anything about We Happy Few check out the E3 2016 trailer above. We Few is set in an alternate version of 1960s England in the fictional town of Wellington Wells. Players play as three people who stop taking their “Joy”, a pill that alters their minds, keeping them happy and hiding reality. Each character has their own reason for refusing to to take joy and must figure out how to escape town without getting caught by the police or citizens.
We Happy Few will retail for $60. A limited edition collectors set is also being released. Retailing for $150 the collectors set includes a replica Bobby mask, lamp, alarm clock, vinyl soundtrack and other 60’s themed items.
The collectors edition does not come with the game, Gearbox says the CE doesn’t come with the game “so that Early Access players can purchase it separately.”.
We Happy Few Will be available on Xbox One, Playstation 4 and PC April 13 2018.
