God of War Will Not Feature Microtransactions

Yes­ter­day, while at Berlin to talk about the upcom­ing God of War, Direc­tor Cory Bar­log made a wel­come announce­ment. He stat­ed there will be no micro­trans­ac­tions for San­ta Mon­i­ca’s high­ly antic­i­pat­ed title. This comes as a great relief to many who seem to be get­ting sick of the micro­trans­ac­tion trend in the gam­ing industry. 

Bar­log tweet­ed a pho­to of camp­fire (which he appears to be sit­ting at) say­ing he was in Berlin to share infor­ma­tion about God of War, when a fan sent him a tweet ask­ing the ques­tion. Bar­log’s response was priceless:

Every­one who com­ment­ed on his response was thrilled to hear God of War was­n’t falling prey to the micro­trans­ac­tion devil. 

San­ta Mon­i­ca Stu­dio recent­ly revealed a Lim­it­ed Edi­tion God of War PS4 Pro Bun­dle, while last month they showed off sev­er­al dif­fer­ent types of edi­tions for pre-order.
