Yesterday, while at Berlin to talk about the upcoming God of War, Director Cory Barlog made a welcome announcement. He stated there will be no microtransactions for Santa Monica’s highly anticipated title. This comes as a great relief to many who seem to be getting sick of the microtransaction trend in the gaming industry.
Barlog tweeted a photo of campfire (which he appears to be sitting at) saying he was in Berlin to share information about God of War, when a fan sent him a tweet asking the question. Barlog’s response was priceless:
No freakin way!!!

Everyone who commented on his response was thrilled to hear God of War wasn’t falling prey to the microtransaction devil.
Santa Monica Studio recently revealed a Limited Edition God of War PS4 Pro Bundle, while last month they showed off several different types of editions for pre-order.
