Bungie made a rather unforeseen announcement today on Twitter, regarding the Prestige version of the Leviathan Raid for Destiny 2. So if you have been getting prepared for the whatever might be lying ahead, slow your roll, because you’ve got a wait ahead of you.
Apparently, they “discovered” an exploit that would make the Prestige mode, well, not prestige. So they decided the best course of action was simply delay it. It appears this is thanks to a “cheese” that leaves no enemies in behind in the Throne Room. You can read more about that on this Reddit post.
Bungie stated, “An exploit has been discovered in the Leviathan Raid that causes the encounters to be stripped of their intended challenge. To allow time to fix this issue, we are delaying the start of the Prestige Raid until next week. It’s important to us that the team who earns World First status doesn’t have their legacy tarnished by doubt, skepticism, or uncertainty.”
The Leviathan Prestige Raid was supposed to start tomorrow upon the weekly reset, but will now be happening on Wednesday, October 18, at 10am Pacific. Well over a week, and a full after next week’s reset.
This is nothing to get upset about. Tuesday is the first Iron Banner event for Destiny 2. As usual it will last all week long and have Iron Banner specific awards. You also have your typical weekly resets to look forward to.
