Destiny 2’s “The Dawning” Arrives Today: Check it Out

Bungie announced all of what they includ­ed in the first sea­son­al event for Des­tiny 2. It starts today, Decem­ber 19th, and will run until Jan­u­ary 9th. For the weeks ahead, the Tow­er and the Farm will be dec­o­rat­ed for the hol­i­days. Play­ers can also expect a bunch of oth­er good­ies From the Dawning.

Snow­ball Fights

You will now see piles of snow, every­where, where you can grab some snow­balls and ping your friends for the fun of it. The snow­balls are not just for enter­tain­ment. You can also use them in Strikes, so when hit­ting an ene­my with one, where it can stun your foes and deal big damage.

May­hem

The Cur­bile is also see­ing the return of May­hem, (for any­one who does­n’t know) your abil­i­ties will charge faster in this mode. It is total chaos, but so much fun.

Mile­stones of Winter

When you enter a Strike or Cru­cible May­hem, pre­pare to be reward­ed. Every week, you can com­plete Mile­stones to receive a Dawn­ing engram. There are also new con­sum­ables that will give rewards to every­one you’re play­ing with. Tess will refresh her inven­to­ry each week, allow­ing you to use your Bright Dust to obtain a Dawn­ing item you might be missing.

Gift­ing and Receiving 

Go pick up a Dawn­ing Gift Schemat­ic from the Bazaar. From there, trav­el across the worlds to craft a unique gift for the ven­dors and Guardians in the Tow­er and else­where. Once they receive their gift, you will get one back. You can com­plete this every­day dur­ing this sea­son­al event. Isn’t gift giv­ing nice?
