Arkane Studios next title, Deathloop, has been delayed until Q2 2021. This means instead of the holiday 2020 window, the game will now be released between April and June of next year Arkane did give a statement regarding the delay, chalking it up to the work-from-home structure taking “longer than normal.”
“This extra time will allow our team to bring Deathloop’s world to life with as much character and fun as you’ve come to expect from our team. While we know this is the right decision for Deathloop, we share your disappointment, and apologize for making you wait even longer.”
Deathloop is a shooter, but with a Groundhog Day type of twist. You play as an assassin name Colt who is trapped on a deserted island that resets everyday. In order to break the loop, he much take out number of targets before the end of the day, while avoiding the counter-assassin that hunts him. This unique multiplayer aspect lets other players come into your game as the counter-assassin, Juliana. Her job is to protect the loop.
