Today as part of their Count Down To E3, Sony and Bend Studios confirmed the release date for their upcoming zombie/survival game Days Gone is February 22nd 2018. Today Bend Studio’s creative director John Garvin made a post on the Playstation Blog discussing Days Gone, its newest trailer and confirming its release date. Check out the release date trailer below.
This trailer doesn’t just announce the release date, it also introduces us to some new characters in the world and a new faction.
Most important, we introduce a new enemy human faction: Rest In Peace, or R.I.P., is a cult that worships the Freakers. Rippers, as they’re known, dress like Freakers – and kill anyone who isn’t a Ripper. While they’re important to the story, Rippers are also an important part of the in-game Freaker ecology: when you get a chance to take down a Ripper camp, try bringing in a Swarm and see what happens – Rippers refuse to kill Freakers, and the results can be very entertaining. — John Garvin Bend Studios CREATIVE Director
Bend Studios and Days Gone will be at E3 this year with more game play and information about the game. Keep an eye out on the home page for E3 2018 updates as they happen.
