The second Season for Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War is on the horizon, which means the second Season for Call of Duty: Warzone is also starting soon. Season Two will be brining the new weapons and Operators from Black Ops Cold War, as well as a fresh loot pool.
Warzone is also seeing some new and “shocking” points of interest for players to explore and two modes that are a bit different from the traditional form of battle royale.
New Points of Interest
Across Verdansk, there are a number of points of interest to discover or fully explore, all advancing Warzone’s story. It also offers new places to scavenge and survive.
Vodianoy, a cargo tanker that has gone missing at sea, was last sighted off the coast of Rebirth Island. Recent sightings have placed the vessel heading towards the Port of Verdansk. Operators within are recommended to “exercise extreme caution” as the ship is carrying unknown cargo, and its crew can’t be contacted.
Apparently, Verdansk is also having something major begin to “rumble deep underground.”
New Game Mode: Exfiltration (In Season)
This mode is exactly what it sounds like. A radio comes online somewhere in Verdansk, and the Operator who secures and holds it for the allotted amount of time, automatically wins the game. This counts for Solo and Squads modes. Anyone holding the radio is marked on the Tac Map, as if they were Hgh Value Targets. All other Operators will also receive intel on how much longer the radio holder has left to win.
The other battle royale rules still apply. The circle will still collapse, and a winner can still be determined by the last person or team standing.
New Game Mode: Rebirth Island Resurgence Extreme (Launch Week)
In this respawn enabled mode, Resurgence Extreme is upping the max player count. This will only be a limited-time mode, were up to 90 players will fight for supremacy, looking to eliminate every last member of enemy squads.
Just like Resurgence, squad members can spawn back in if their Rebirth Countdown hits zero and at least one of their allies is still alive.
Season Two for Call of Duty: Warzone is set to release on February 25th.
