New Zombies Experience: Outbreak (Launch Week)

Outbreak takes place across massive play spaces, filled with new enemies, team objectives, player rewards and intel to discover. All of this on foot, vehicles or jump pads. Expect objectives like escorting Rovers, hunting down elite enemies using a satellite tracker, and holding confined Dark Aether zones against zombies. Agents will need to complete these before they can Exfil.. or risk entering a Dark Aether portal to a new region for even more rewards.

New Field Upgrade: Frenzied Guard

Upon activating, all enemies will immediately target the Frenzied Guard user for a brief period, during which only Armor will take damage. Obviously, its a good distraction for teammates who may be in trouble.

Upgrades include repairing all Armor upon activation, increasing its duration to 15 seconds, and slowing all normal enemies to walk speed while active.

New Ammo Mod: Shatter Blast

Pack-a-Punch and Elemental Pop will now include Shatter Blast Ammo Mod, which makes all bullets deal explosive damage. Each bullet also has a chance to explode dealing additional explosive damage and destroying any impacted armor.

Upgrades includes having all explosives deal damage to nearby enemies, knock down normal enemies, or double their size.

Two New Skills Tiers

There are now two new Aetherium Crystal types — Refined and Flawless — allow agents to upgrade all skills to Tier IV and V.

To get these Crystals, reaching high rounds in traditional round-based Zombies or complete multiple Outbreak investigations in a single run. These Crystals will improve Weapon Classes, Field Upgrades, Perks and Ammo Mods.

More information on the Crystals will be available closer to Season Two launch.

Miami Strike (6v6) (In Season)

This is just the already existing Miami map, but during the daytime. Activision didn’t not provide a photo of this flipped map.

New Multiplayer Modes

Stockpile (6v6) (In Season)

This mode mixes Kill Confirmed and Hardpoint. Collect dog tags and deposit them at rotating sites around the map throughout the match.

Operators can carry multiple tags at time to deposit for a massive boost in score and XP, but carry at your own risk. Anyone who dies will drop whatever tags they are carrying, which all players can snag to deposit for their own team.

Hardpoint (Multi-Team) (In-Team)

This is a different take on Hardpoint pitting 10 squads of four agains each other to capture and defend points across the largest maps in Black Ops Cold War. Each point rotates every 120 seconds, and the first squad to reach 500 seconds of total objective time wins the match.

Gun Game (Free-For-All) (Launch Week)

The fan favorite party game mode makes an appearance again. The typical Gun Game rules apply. First person to kill an enemy with each weapon wins the match.

New ‘Tools of the Trade’

Scorestreak: Death Machine (Launch Week)

Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War Season Two Is Starting Soon; Roadmap Revealed

This Scorestreak was first seen in the original Black Ops and is finally making an appearance again. It’s a handheld minigun with high damage rounds.

The Death Machine will also be heading to Zombies as an additional Support weapon in Outbreak, “Firebase Z” and “Die Maschine.”

Vehicle: Sedan (Launch Week)

Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War Season Two Is Starting Soon; Roadmap Revealed

Those playing Outbreak can use a sedan to help them survive the hordes. It does feature enough room for an entire squad of four, and is great at moving said squad to the next location quickly while shooting zombies from the windows.

Vehicle: Light Truck (Launch Week)

Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War Season Two Is Starting Soon; Roadmap Revealed

This vehicle will also be appearing in Outbreak, and is a military vehicle features four-passenger seating. It doesn’t have any windows or a roof, so players will have plenty of viewing space to shoot the undead.

Season Challenges (Launch Week)

As was expected, a new set of 20 Multiplayer Challenges (across Black Ops Cold War and Warzone) and 20 Zombies Challenges will be available at the start of Season Two.

At Season Level 1 and every 10 Season Level after, a new Multiplayer and Zombies Challenge will be unlocked to complete. As usual, XP and a Calling Card are attached to each Challenge. Completing the whole set of either the Multiplayer or Zombie Challenges rewards a 10,000 XP boost and an animated Master Calling Card.

New Prestige Levels ‑Season Two Prestige Goes to 11

Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War Season Two Is Starting Soon; Roadmap Revealed

Like the start of Season One, your Season Level will reset to 1 at the beginning of Season Two. Your progress will resume from the highest Prestige Level you achieved previously. This season offers four more Prestiges (seen above), gained during the first 200 levels. The level system goes as follows:

Level 50: New Prestige, Emblem, Prestige Key, Weapon Blueprint, and Battle Pass Tier Skip

•               Level 100: New Prestige, Emblem, Prestige Key, and Battle Pass Tier Skip

•               Level 150: New Prestige, Emblem, Prestige Key, and Battle Pass Tier Skip

•               Level 190: All Season Challenges Available

•               Level 200: New Prestige, Emblem, Prestige Key, Battle Pass Tier Skip, Master Prestige Calling Card

•               Level 250–1,000: New Prestige Key every 50 levels

This is teams explanation of how exactly this works:

This means you can earn four new Prestiges during Season Two if you reached Prestige Master – now 11 in total – and you can always catch up to the latest available Prestige if you didn’t reach it during the previous season, as well.
