Bungie Says It Will Avoid The Same Mistakes With Future DLC

Desinty was a highly ambitious, highly anticipated game in 2014, but left a lot of gamers with a sour taste in their mouths with its lack of economy and RNG gear mechanics leaving a lot of serious players with out the gear and weapons they needed, then taking it a step further by upgrading vendor gear to surpass the defense and power of the Vault Of Glass Raid Gear.

Lukc Smith, A Destinty Developer took to Neogaf to respond to another poster who stated that the first details about the upgrading of Exotics and vendors in the next expansion would “draw first blood.”

Smith then responded with

No it won’t.

Nothing specific to announce at this time, but the mistakes we made with the DLC1 reward economy will not be repeated:

Mistakes like:

  • Vendor gear invalidating the effort of VOG Raiders

  • Upgrading an Exotic reseting its talents”

  • This is great to hear for us Destiny players. (As of now we must have some kind of self hate to keep playing)
  • Seems like bungie is listening, Lets hope They do this right.
