During today’s PlayStation 5 Showcase, Raven Software unveiled a new campaign trailer for Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War, and a surprise for current PS4 owners. All PS4 players will be able to access the Black Ops Cold War alpha, for free this weekend.
Creative director at Raven Software, Dan Vondrak, introduced the new gameplay from the campaign mission “No Where Left To Run.” It takes place in an isolated airport runway in Turkey, with returning faces like Woods and Mason. You can see trailer shown, below:
Treyarch is still heading Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War, but Raven Software is handling the game’s campaign. In addition to the new gameplay, Vondrak revealed that PS4 users can download and play the multiplayer alpha this weekend. Access will be free (exceptions for Germany and Japan) and will start September 18th and end on the 20th. You can pre-load the alpha at 8 a.m. tomorrow.
This will be the first opportunity to play Black Ops Cold War multiplayer early, although a beta period is scheduled for October. Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War is planned to release on November 13th, with plenty of editions you can pre-order right now.
