Microsoft has made it official. The Xbox Series X will be launching in November of this year, but the company hasn’t given any specific release date. However, they did outline what the Xbox Series X will be launching with and it’s a doozy of a list.

According to Microsoft, they’ll have thousands of games to play, “spanning four generations” when the Xbox Series X launches. A hundred of those titles will be optimized for the Series X, including:

  • more that 50 new games planned for this year across generation and optimized for Xbox Series X like, Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, Dirt 5, Gears Tactics, Yakuza: Like a Dragon and Watch Dogs: Legions.
  • New games developed for Xbox Series X and launching with Xbox Game Pass including, exclusives like The Medium, Scorn, Tetris Effect: Connected and more
  • More than 40 popular games newly optimized for the Series X such as Destiny 2, Forza Horizon 4, Gears 5, Ori and the Will of the Wisps, Madden NFL 21 and more.

Microsoft also stated that hundreds of developers are working on games for their next-gen console and the “best way to discover new games will be with Xbox Game Pass.” Beginning September 15th, Xbox Game Pass Ultimate members will be able to play more than 100 games from the cloud on their Android phone or tablet.

This is the first time either Microsoft or Sony have said anything about a release of their consoles. The Xbox Series X’s launch date was leaked earlier this year, saying it would be released around Thanksgiving (which appears to be true).
