Valve Finally Announces Launch Plans For The Steam Deck

Valve has announced that the Steam Deck will offi­cial­ly launch on Feb­ru­ary 25th. In a blog post, the com­pa­ny con­firmed that those who reserved the hand­held will receive a con­fir­ma­tion by email on that day. How­ev­er, those with the email will have 72 hours to pur­chase the Steam Deck or pass it up to the some­one else.

Ship­ping will being on Feb­ru­ary 28th, with more con­for­ma­tion emails expect­ed to go out each week. Valve also men­tioned that mem­bers of the press will begin to giv­ing impres­sions of the Steam Deck soon, and then more wide­ly on Feb­ru­ary 25th.

The Steam Deck was orig­i­nal­ly planned launch in Decem­ber of last year, but it was delayed. There are three ver­sions, the 64GB ($399) mod­el, the 256GB ($529) ver­sion, and the 512GB ($649) mod­el.
