The multiplayer RPG Valheim got a rather large patch today, bringing the highly-anticipated Hearth & Home update. This includes an overhaul of the food system, new building elements, and a viking hot tub.

Hearth & Home update brings plenty of new content to Valheim, expanding your gameplay options by introducing new mechanics, furniture, building pieces, food, weapons, optimizations, and more,” Iron Gate stated on a Steam post.

The new “Darkwood” building pieces are for those who enjoy creating , adding pieces like shingle roofs, beams and other decorative items. More furniture is available as well, including a “steamy viking hot tub.”

Another big change is to Valheim’s food system, with most food items providing either stamina or health. This ensures players will have to think strategically about what to eat. The food GUI has also been adjusted, and there are plenty of new foods to munch on.

The update also adds much requested features like the ability to share map data with other players, the ability to collect different types of tree seeds, and to destroy unwanted items with the new “obliterator.” The Hearth & Home update also lets you name any pet you’ve tamed.
