It’s now the second week of January, as well as the second week of a new year, and Mario Kart 8 Deluxe has managed to keep its number one position in the UK game sales chart. While there hasn’t been much shift in the top five of this list, the top twenty have definitely seen some wacky movement.
As far as the top five goes, FIFA 22 trails behind Mario Kart 8 in second, which is surprising for the U.K. market. Animal Crossing: New Horizons remains in third for another week, followed by Minecraft–which actually moved up three spaces from the previous week. Call of Duty: Vanguard also hasn’t budged from its fifth place spot.
Other games have had major leaps in the chart this week, including Big Brain Academy: Brain vs. Brain, which moved up 15 places from last week, landing 11th this week. Super Mario Odyssey shot up nine spaces nabbing 16th, while the Lego Harry Potter Collection ended up in 18th after a 10 place jump. Far Cry 6 did not fair so well, dropping 8 places over the week, going from 12th to 20th.
