Another week has passed, signaling a new list of the top U.K. game sales. With somewhat of a surprise twist, the title which usually holds the coveted number one position this time of year, has been kicked down. Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War, doesn’t seem to be fairing as well this year as expected, since FIFA 21 swiped the top spot out from under them from the previous week.
Other than these two major competitors, there have been other big changes within the top five. Last week, Animal Crossing: New Horizons was pushed all the way down to eighth; a move that wasn’t seen since the game was launched. However, the popularity of this Nintendo title boosted it back to third, jumping it five places in a week. The same goes for Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, landing fourth after leaping five spots from it’s ninth position a week before. Assassin’s Creed Valhalla dropped a space from fourth to fifth.
