Anoth­er week has passed, sig­nal­ing a new list of the top U.K. game sales. With some­what of a sur­prise twist, the title which usu­al­ly holds the cov­et­ed num­ber one posi­tion this time of year, has been kicked down. Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War, does­n’t seem to be fair­ing as well this year as expect­ed, since FIFA 21 swiped the top spot out from under them from the pre­vi­ous week.

Oth­er than these two major com­peti­tors, there have been oth­er big changes with­in the top five. Last week, Ani­mal Cross­ing: New Hori­zons was pushed all the way down to eighth; a move that was­n’t seen since the game was launched. How­ev­er, the pop­u­lar­i­ty of this Nin­ten­do title boost­ed it back to third, jump­ing it five places in a week. The same goes for Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, land­ing fourth after leap­ing five spots from it’s ninth posi­tion a week before. Assas­s­in’s Creed Val­hal­la dropped a space from fourth to fifth.
