One of the most highly anticipated games of the year has finally arrived, Cyberpunk 2077, and it quickly overtook the top U.K. games sales chart. FIFA 21 held first place for three consecutive weeks before CD Projekt Red’s game was released. Even though the open-world FPS has been receiving mixed reviews, from critics and users alike, it still managed to sell a boat load of copies.
However, with all the issues that are plaguing the game, especially on last-gen consoles, it likely won’t stay at the top very long. Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War hasn’t moved from second for several weeks, and continues to sit there for this week. Animal Crossing: New Horizons remains in third, with Assassin’s Creed Valhalla also retaining its fourth position from the previous week. FiFA 21, which was the reigning champ, has dropped four places ending up in fifth.
