Top 10 Best-Selling Games On Steam Shows God Of War Setting A New Record

The best-sell­ing games for the third week of Jan­u­ary (end­ing Jan­u­ary 23rd) have been announced for Steam, and God of War has reached the top of the chart–for a sec­ond week in a row. This is the first PlaySta­tion-pub­lished game on PC that held on to the num­ber one spot for two weeks consecutively.

Ana­lyst Daniel Ahmad remind­ed us that pre­vi­ous PlaySta­tion titles Days Gone and Hori­zon Zero Dawn start­ed at the top dur­ing the debut week, before drop­ping. Death Strand­ing, which was pub­lished by 505 Games, not Sony, also reached the num­ber one spot its debut week.

God of War sold 19.5 mil­lion copies on PS4 before head­ing to PC, so it’s like­ly that the game will push past the 20 mil­lion line soon, but that has­n’t been con­firmed yet.
