The Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater series played a huge part in my early gaming life, countless hours were spent racking up huge combos and finding hidden video tapes while jamming out to an amazing soundtrack. The Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater (THPS) franchise has had quite a few entries, some good and some terrible (I’m looking at you THPS 5). Activision and Vicarious Visions have heard the calls of fans, Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1 AND 2 are being remade for modern platforms.
THPS 1 and 2 features “the vast majority” of the original soundtracks, with a few songs being omitted do to licensing reasons. All your favorite skaters and tricks are present as well as all your favorite levels. Create a skater and create a park return with some improvements, new items for both create a skater and create a park will be unlocked via in game challenges. THPS 1+2 will not have any micro-transactions with all content available to unlock via gameplay. THPS will run at 4k resolution and 60 Ffps on compatible consoles.
You can pre-order THPS 1+2 for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC now. If you preorder you will get access to the Warehouse demo, the warehouse is the very first level in THPS 1 and is sure to scratch your nostalgia itch. No date was given for the demo’s release date but developer Vicarious Visions says the demo will be available before the game’s launch.
HPS 1+2 will be available for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC on September 4th.
