Sony has announced it will be discontinuing the PS Plus Collection on May 9th, 2023, ending the free library of games offered as an added perk for PS Plus members on PS5. This collection included big, first-party titles and sprinkles of third-party games which could be added to your library.
“We also wanted to provide an update on the PlayStation Plus Collection that has been offered as a benefit to PlayStation Plus members on PS5 since 2020,” Sony remarked in a recent blog post. “On May 9 the PlayStation Plus Collection will no longer be offered. If you haven’t redeemed the titles in this collection yet, you can still do so until May 9, which will enable you to access those titles even after this date for as long as you remain a PlayStation Plus member. ”
Sony claims it will now focus on adding new games to its PS Plus library of monthly free giveaways, as well as evolving its Games Catalog (available as part of the Extra and Premium memberships. In case you haven’t grabbed any of these from the Collection, check out the games in the list and grab them before they disappear:

Any games you redeem between now and May 9th will continue to be yours as along as you keep an active PS Plus subscription.
