Super Mario Bros. 35 just fin­ished its first col­lab­o­ra­tive world event, end­ing with mod­er­ate suc­cess. The event tasked play­ers with defeat­ing 3.5 mil­lion Bowsers, but they went beyond that, tak­ing down 5,363,696 Bowsers in total.

As a reward for sur­pass­ing the event goal, every­one who par­tic­i­pat­ed and defeat­ed at least one Bows­er, will receive 350 Plat­inum points in their My Nin­ten­do account. These points can be used for rewards on the My Nin­ten­do web­site, like numer­ous phys­i­cal items, in-game con­tent, exclu­sive games and much more.

Nin­ten­do is plan­ning to hold two more World Count Chal­lenge events in Feb­ru­ary and March. Specifics of those haven’t been revealed just yet.

How­ev­er, anoth­er Spe­cial Bat­tle event has already kicked off in Super Mario Bros. 35 . This event is called the Lim­it­ed-World Bat­tle, fea­tur­ing ran­dom stages tak­en from World 2,3 or 5. The event is set to end tomor­row at 11:00 p.m. PT/ 2:00 a.m. ET

Super Mario Bros. 35 released back in Octo­ber, and is free to down­load for Nin­ten­do Switch Online sub­scribers only. Much like Super Mario 3D All-Stars, the game has a lim­it­ed-time release and will only be avail­able until March 31st.
