Ubisoft’s E3 conference included plenty of new information regarding The Division 2. Yesterday a play through was revealed during Microsoft’s E3 show. Today they revealed a cinematic trailer, as well as a release date.
The Division 2’s Expansions
Ubisoft surprised everyone by announcing what they had planned for The Division 2’s first year. It shows a timeline of title updates, world events, and expansions. The expansions are being called “episodes”, and will be free to everyone.
Upon reaching the end of the campaign, players will be allowed to choose a Specialization class. Each of these classes has a different weapon associated with it, including a crossbow, grenade launcher, and sniper rifle. However, you won’t be limited to one Specialization. Fully leveling up one Specialization will grant access to another.
This is a first for The Division, but is not new to the gaming community. It’s part of the end game activities and consists of eight players, in two teams of four. It’ll most likely feel similar to Destiny’s raids.
Ubisoft also announced The Division 2’s release date, March 15th, 2019. However, you can currently sigh up for a beta, on the games official website. Just as a reminder, signing up doesn’t guarantee your entry.
