Respawn officially revealed the previously-rumored Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order sequel. It will, in fact, be called Star Wars Jedi: Survivor, and is scheduled to release in 2023.
Once again Cal Kestis is the protagonist, with the trailer showing Cal all on his own again. Except for his adorable android friend BD‑1. The trailer also shows Cal meeting with a Pau’an, the same species as the Grand Inquisitor. Could this be the Grand Inquisitor? It’s unlikely with his role in other Star Wars stories, but who knows.
Cal also goes against a one-armed, cloaked adversary holding a red lightsaber.
We got a look Cal’s new lightsaber as well, which–unfortunately–is not the same one he was using at the end of Fallen Order. The new one is single bladed, lacking the option to be separated into dual lightsabers. This implies that players will likely (but let’s be honest, it’s a guarantee) be losing all of Cal’s gear at the beginning of Survivor.
