Sniper Elite 4: Deathstorm Campaign Arriving March 21st

Announced on PlaySta­tion’s blog today, Rebel­lion (cre­ators of Sniper Elite) revealed its upcom­ing con­tent for the new­ly released game.

The Death­storm update will be arriv­ing next week on March 21st. It includes Part 1 of a three part mini-cam­paign and a free mul­ti­play­er con­tent update as well.

This is a com­plete­ly new sto­ry­line, which is set after the events of Sniper Elite 4. Like the main game, you can play this con­tent sin­gle-play­er or two-play­er cooperatively.

The Alsos Mis­sion, which is an off­shoot of the US Man­hat­tan Project (famous for its research and devel­op­ment with nuclear weapons) requires Karl Fair­burne to inter­cept a cru­cial pack­age the Nazis are bring­ing into the coun­try.… scary stuff.

Death­storm Part 1: Incep­tion, will chal­lenge the play­er with numer­ous objec­tives across a mas­sive envi­ron­ment. Tow­er­ing scaf­fold­ing, a mas­sive Ger­man destroy­er, and a ware­house filled with ene­my sol­diers, that is just the base of why the Karl is there. Along with recov­er­ing this pack­age, he is also aim­ing to com­plete what the bomb­ing run start­ed and destroy the base entirely. 

It comes with the sea­son pass or can be pur­chased separately. 

Mul­ti­play­er Update

Rebel­lion “pledged to bring all addi­tion­al mul­ti­play­er modes and maps to the game free” and it appears they are keep­ing to their word. This is the first of their free mul­ti­play­er con­tent and includes a new game mode called Elimination.

It’s a two-team mode for up to 12 play­ers which aims to cut your oppo­nen­t’s num­bers down to zero. When you die in Elim­i­na­tion you become a spec­ta­tor, but it’s not com­plete­ly per­ma­nent. If/when your team­mates kill an oppos­ing play­er, they tag back in one of their dead comrades.
