I truly didn’t think it could happen, but Bethesda Game Studios is re-releasing The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim game, and it even has new content. It’s the 10th Anniversary Edition, and it will be available on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S.
This anniversary edition also includes a brand-new mechanic–fishing. That’s right, fishing will be added as a free mini-game when Skyrim’s 10th Anniversary Edition releases on November 11th.
The 10th Anniversary Edition of the game does come with other features, but Bethesda did not clarify what these are. Bethesda did note that Skyrim’s Anniversary Edition will include new content from the Creation Club.
The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Special Edition owners on PS5 or Xbox Series X|S will gain access to a free next-gen enhanced version on the same day. Everyone else who owns the Special Edition of Skyrim can purchase the Anniversary Edition upgrade–but there is no price tag for that as of yet.
Skyrim is one of the most ported games on the market, and has managed to make the leap to eight different platforms. This includes generational leaps from the PlayStation and Xbox 360 era to the current-gen consoles. That’s something.
