It’s under a week now until the Xbox Series X and Series S con­soles launch, and Microsoft has already stat­ed that many of the plat­for­m’s most-pop­u­lar games will be get­ting a boost to per­for­mance on the new con­soles. Sea of Thieves, Rare’s pirate adven­ture, is on that list. The game will receive improve­ments on both the Xbox Series X and Series S.

Accord­ing to tweet post­ed by Rare, both con­soles will offer improved load times and 60 FPS. How­ev­er, only the Xbox Series X will tar­get 4K, with the Series S run­ning it at 1080p.

These improve­ments fall in line with oth­er adjust­ments made by oth­er devel­op­ers. Fort­nite will sup­port 4K and 60 FPS on the Xbox Series X and 1080p/ 60 FPS on the Series S. Halo: The Mas­ter Chief Col­lec­tion has also announced sim­i­lar improve­ments with 120 FPS/ 4K on Series X and 1080p on Series S. How­ev­er, the update will not be avail­able until Novem­ber 17th.
