Microsoft’s conference went all out today, showing 50 games, 18 exclusives, and 15 world premiers. Some of these games got more attention than others, but there were many, many trailers shown.
Halo Infinite
A new addition to the Halo series was announced today, in which players will go on a journey with Master Chief to save humanity. It’s developed by 343, and powered by the Slipstream engine.
Ori and the Will of the Wisps
This Xbox exclusive title has a unique art style, similar to games like Fe and Unravel. Unlike both games mentioned, there is combat and boss fights, with a platform feel. It will be available sometime in 2019.
Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice
This is a brand new title from the developers of Dark Souls, From Software, and being published by Activision. It has an Asian setting, but the combat looks very similar to that of Dark Souls.
Fallout 76
With Bethesda’s E3 conference on the way, it was a little crazy to see another trailer for Fallout 76. They also gave a little bit of information, which you can read about, here.
The Awesome Adventures of Captain Spirit
From Dontnod Entertainment and Square Enix, this game is very similar to the Life is Strange series, which will be available June 26th for Xbox One, PS4 and PC (for free I believe).
Crackdown 3
Not much was said about Crackdown 3 today, but they did include another trailer. It’ll be in stores February 29th, 2019.
Metro Exodus
The new addition to the Metro franchise got a brand new trailer and a release date, February 22nd, 2019.
Kingdom Hearts 3
A brand new trailer was shown today, mostly featuring Frozen. However, it also showed many characters from the new Disney films, as well as characters from past films. This is the first time a Kingdom Hearts title is coming directly to Xbox upon launch. Kingdom Hearts 3 will release on January 29th, 2019.
Sea of Thieves DLC
Microsoft announced two upcoming DLC’s for Sea of Thieves, “Cursed Sails” and “Forsaken Shores”. Cursed Sails will be available sometime this summer, while Forsaken Shores won’t be around until sometime in September.
Battlefield V
This was simply the single-player trailer which was expected when DICE announced there would be more to see during Microsoft’s conference. If you wish to know more about Battlefield V, you can see it, here.
Forza Horizon 4
The latest addition to the Forza series was shown today with a bit of gameplay. It also included details about what to expect when the game comes out, which will be October 2nd, 2018.
We Happy Few
This game has been long in the works and after many delays, it now has an official release date. Compulsion Games released a new story trailer, and revealed the release date for the summer, on August 10th, 2018.
PUBG
PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds displayed a new map, “Sanhok”, coming this summer. Players can also expect War Mode sometime around winter. No specific dates for either addition were mentioned.
Tales of Vesperia Definitive Edition
This is the first Tales title that will be on Xbox One. It’ll be arriving sometime in the winter, and will also launch on PS4, Nintendo Switch, and PC.
Session
This is a console exclusive skating game, which hasn’t been around in quite a while.
Black Desert
This isn’t a brand new title, as it’s been on PC for years. However, this will be the first time it’s been on console. It’ll be Xbox One X enhanced and Xbox players will get a crack at the beta sometime this fall.
Cuphead DLC
The new DLC is titled “The Delicious Last Course”, set to launch in 2019. It includes a new playable character, Ms.Chalice, along with new weapons, charms, and bosses.
TUNIC
This title involves a tiny fox, in an environment that looks very similar to older version of The Legend of Zelda. No release date was hinted at Microsoft E3 show.
Jump Force
Bandai Namco showed an all-star brawler game, which included characters from Dragon Ball Z, Naruto, Death Note, and One Piece. It’s expected to release in spring 2019.
Dying Light 2
A bit of a surprise to see a second installment of Dying Light, but it’s definitely welcome. Many changes have been made from first game, which you can learn more about, here.
Battletoads
Battletoads are back, with new features like body morphing genera mashup, 3 player couch co-op, and 4K hand-drawn 2.5D graphics.
Just Cause 4
This game was leaked days ago and was shown during Microsoft’s conference. More may be coming during Square Enix’s conference. It’s set to launch December 4th, 2018.
Gear 5
Not only was there a cinematic trailer for the new Gears 5, a couple other Gears titles were announced.
Cyberpunk 2077
Snuck right in at the end of Microsoft’s show, the much awaited CD Projekt Red title was finally given a trailer. No release date was given.
Shadow of the Tomb Raider
Square Enix already revealed Shadow of the Tomb Raider weeks ago, but a new trailer was shown today. This title arrives September 14th, 2018.
Devil May Cry 5
Another surprise today was the announcement of a new Devil May Cry title. Devil May Cry 5 will launch in spring of 2019.
NieR: Automata BECOME AS GODS Edition
This is the first time NieR will be available on Xbox. This edition will be Xbox One X enhanced and includes previously released DLC. It will come to the Xbox store June 26th, 2018.
