Resident Evil Village continues to post up big sales numbers for Capcom. The company announced that the horror title has sold more than 4.5 million copies around the globe.
The game reached 4 million at the end of May, and 3 million days after launch. The sales likely count copies sold digitally and physically, as the previous disclosures did. Even though it took it a tad bit longer, Resident Evil Village managed to come head-to-head with Resident Evil 6, which also sold 4.5 million copies. Capcom is proudly displaying the new sales number on the game’s website.
At E3 2021, Capcom announced DLC is on the way to Village, although no exact details were divulged. “By popular demand, development has just started on additional DLC for Resident Evil Village,” Capcom stated during the presentation.
They also confirmed that Resident Evil Re:Verse, the multiplayer title, will release sometime in July.
