The recently released Resident Evil 7 will be getting its first DLC January 31. There are a total of two DLCs announced today and both will include various modes and episodes.
PlayStation 4 will be first to receive Banned Footage Vol. 1 on Jan 31. Xbox One and PC will get the DLC a few weeks later on Feb 21.
Banned Footage Vol. 1 will include two videotapes called Bedroom and Nightmare. Bedroom will have players trying to escape a room without Marguerite Baker noticing. Nightmare is a classic stay alive until daylight while fighting off waves of enemies. An extra mode, Ethan Must Die, is described as “tough-as-nails” and will be separate from the main story and videotapes. This mode will not be available on PlayStation VR.
Another set of DLC, Banned Footage Vol. 2, will launch Feb 14 for PS4 and Feb 21 for all other platforms. Just as Vol. 1, this DLC will contain two videotapes and a game mode.
21 puts players in a deadly game ran by Lucas Baker where they will risk life and limb to win. Daughters will be more story driven, letting players see the Baker Family before they became twisted. The new game mode Jack’s 55th Birthday is described as a “comical extra game mode” where they player must feed Jack a ton of food. This mode is also not PlayStation VR compatible.
Banned Footage Vol. 1 will cost $9.99 while Banned Footage Vol. 2 will cost $14.99. Both DLCs are included in Resident Evil 7’s $29.99 season pass.
