Resident Evil 7 DLC Coming Next Week

The recent­ly released Res­i­dent Evil 7 will be get­ting its first DLC Jan­u­ary 31. There are a total of two DLCs announced today and both will include var­i­ous modes and episodes. 

PlaySta­tion 4 will be first to receive Banned Footage Vol. 1 on Jan 31. Xbox One and PC will get the DLC a few weeks lat­er on Feb 21. 

Banned Footage Vol. 1 will include two video­tapes called Bed­room and Night­mare. Bed­room will have play­ers try­ing to escape a room with­out Mar­guerite Bak­er notic­ing. Night­mare is a clas­sic stay alive until day­light while fight­ing off waves of ene­mies. An extra mode, Ethan Must Die, is described as “tough-as-nails” and will be sep­a­rate from the main sto­ry and video­tapes. This mode will not be avail­able on PlaySta­tion VR.

Anoth­er set of DLC, Banned Footage Vol. 2, will launch Feb 14 for PS4 and Feb 21 for all oth­er plat­forms. Just as Vol. 1, this DLC will con­tain two video­tapes and a game mode.

21 puts play­ers in a dead­ly game ran by Lucas Bak­er where they will risk life and limb to win. Daugh­ters will be more sto­ry dri­ven, let­ting play­ers see the Bak­er Fam­i­ly before they became twist­ed. The new game mode Jack­’s 55th Birth­day is described as a “com­i­cal extra game mode” where they play­er must feed Jack a ton of food. This mode is also not PlaySta­tion VR compatible. 

Banned Footage Vol. 1 will cost $9.99 while Banned Footage Vol. 2 will cost $14.99. Both DLCs are includ­ed in Res­i­dent Evil 7’s $29.99 sea­son pass.
