Rainbow Six Siege Outbreak Event Incoming Free To All

Ubisoft has announced the next event for Rain­bow Six Siege. Kick­ing off sea­son 3, Out­break is a 4 week event that is free for every­body. Out­break is dif­fer­ent than you would expect. You and your team are inves­ti­gat­ing a “mys­te­ri­ous threat” in a quar­an­tined town.

An infes­ta­tion of unknown ori­gin is attack­ing the small town of Truth or Con­se­quences, New Mex­i­co. The dan­ger is so high that the author­i­ties quar­an­tined the entire town, trap­ping civil­ians and sol­diers inside. Very lit­tle infor­ma­tion is fil­ter­ing out, but the only cer­tain­ty is that the sit­u­a­tion is dire.” - Ubisoft

Out­break brings a whole bunch of cos­met­ics. The Out­break col­lec­tion is made up of 50 unique items and no duplicates.

 What this means is, if you acquire 50 Out­break Packs, we guar­an­tee that you will have the entire Col­lec­tion, includ­ing the Elite Uniform.

Out­break pack cost 200 R6 cred­its each, Ubisoft says ” a few oth­er Out­break rewards will be avail­able through game play, and will be award­ed based on oth­er cri­te­ria to be dis­closed at a lat­er date.”

The Out­break Col­lec­tion will con­tain cos­met­ic gear for the fol­low­ing Operators:

Ubisoft Also out­lined some changes being made to the retail ver­sions of Rain­bow Six Siege

Starter Edi­tion ($14.99USD)

“Starter Edi­tion of Rain­bow Six Siege remains unchanged. It con­tin­ues to be only avail­able on PC and comes with access to all Rain­bow Six Siege con­tent: modes, maps, weapon options, lev­el pro­gres­sion, and 600 Rain­bow Six Cred­its, which can be used to pur­chase oper­a­tors or cos­met­ics. The main dif­fer­ence between the Starter Edi­tion and any oth­er edi­tion is that it takes an extend­ed amount of time to unlock the 20 orig­i­nal Oper­a­tors. The 20 orig­i­nal Oper­a­tors cost 12,500 Renown each with the Starter Edition.”

Advanced Edi­tion ($59.99USD)

“The Advanced Edi­tion comes with all of the con­tent that the Stan­dard Edi­tion had – access to all Rain­bow Six Siege con­tent: modes, maps, weapon options, lev­el pro­gres­sion and the stan­dard amount of time required to unlock the orig­i­nal 20 Oper­a­tors. As an added ben­e­fit, the Advanced Edi­tion comes with 600 Rain­bow Six Cred­its, and 10 Out­break Col­lec­tion Packs.”

Gold Edi­tion ($89.99USD)

“The Year 2 Gold Edi­tion has been retired now that we are enter­ing Year 3. The new Gold Edi­tion will con­tain all of the con­tent in the Advanced Edi­tion, as well as a Year 3 pass.”

Com­plete Edi­tion ($129.99USD)
