Last Month Sony announced PS4 firmware 5.0 was under development, opened beta sign ups and said the beta would be available in August. Sony has yet to speak about the changes and improvements in PS4’s 5.0 update, but the patch notes seemed to have leaked.
Eurogamer reported they have obtained the patch notes. The biggest changes are being able to stream gameplay to twitch at 1080p and 60fps with the PS4 Pro.
Social improvements are also incoming, Users will be able to follow and be followed by anyone (if the privacy settings allow it). It will no longer limited to Verified Developers and Community Managers. The New system will be like twitter, users can follow who they please without taking up any friend list spots.
Child and Sub accounts have to improvements too.
“New family accounts will be able to feature multiple adult accounts in a family, able to act in a parent/guardian role and set parental controls on a per-account basis, so each child has different communications, content-viewing and spending limit privileges. Requests can also be sent to adult accounts on other PS4s to join the same family.” - Eurogamer
It would cool to see the official patch notes soon and to get my hands on the beta. If you want to check out the full list of changers head over to Eurogamer and check it out.
