PlayStation Plus subscribers will be getting a bunch of free games next month. This is in celebration of the PSVR’s fifth birthday, with PlayStation announcing that it will be giving away three free PlayStation VR games to PS Plus members in November. These will be added to the already three titles for the regular monthly lineup–which typically includes a PS5 title and two PS4 games.
This means a total of six games will be free next month, although PlayStation hasn’t revealed which PSVR titles will be free. It’s entirely possible that these freebies will be part of the “most played games” shared by PlayStation. This includes Rec Room, Beat Saber, PlayStation VR Worlds, The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim VR, and Resident Evil 7, which all have earned the title of most popular VR games via playtime.
Even if you don’t own a PSVR, you should claim these titles anyway–in case you decide to purchase the virtual reality headset at some point. Of course, Sony is currently working on the next-gen model of the PSVR, so maybe these games are a precursor to a reveal.
Right now PS Plus members can pick up October’s free games, which includes Hell Let Loose (PS5), Mortal Kombat X (PS4), and PGA Tour 2K21 (PS4).
