Ubisoft’s Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time remake has had more than one delay since the game was announced, and it looks like fans will have to wait at least a year to see it. In Ubisoft’s latest financial report, the company confirmed that The Sands of Time remake is now aiming for a 2022–23 release window.
“We want to take a moment to reassure you that the development of Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time Remake is still underway, motivated and inspired by your feedback,” Ubisoft stated. “We will update you on our progress in the future and want to thank all of you for your unwavering support and patience.”
Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time was officially revealed during the September 2020 Ubisoft Forward event, and was initially set for a launch date of January 2021. It was then delayed to March 2021. Shortly after that delay was announced, Ubisoft indefinitely delayed the game so that the visuals, combat, and targeting system could be further refined.
Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time isn’t the Ubisoft game to suffer a delay. Ubisoft’s financial report also revealed that Rocksmith+ and Tom Clancy’s The Division Heartland, have also been moved to new release dates in 2022.
