Sony has announced a PlayStation Showcase event for September 9th, just a mere week away. It will reveal updates on upcoming games, last around 40 minutes, and begins at 1:00 p.m. PT/ 4:00 p.m. ET. Sony also states this event will be giving everyone a sneak peak at the future of the PS5 console.
Fans should expect news from PlayStation Studios and industry developers, along with a post-show presentation of more update from some studios featured in the show.
Although Sony has been reguarly hosting State of Play livestreams since last year, these primarily focus on a single title from a first or third-party developer. When Sony streams a larger event, it usually means much bigger news.
Sony’s next big first-party games include Horizon Forbidden West (which launches in February 2022), God of War: Ragnarok, Grand Turismo 7, Final Fantasy XVI, and a multiplayer title currently being worked on by Naughty Dog.
