Phil Spencer Says Xbox Is Re-Evaluating It’s Relationship with Activision Blizzard

Xbox head Phil Spencer reportedly said in an email to staff that the company is “evaluating” their relationship with Activision Blizzard after a report that CEO Bobby Kotick covered up sexual abuse was released.

The email in question was obtained by Bloomberg, in which Spencer said Xbox is “evaluating all aspects of our relationship with Activision Blizzard and making ongoing proactive adjustments.”

Spencer and other members of the senior management are “disturbed and deeply troubled by the horrific events and actions” at Activision Blizzard, according to Bloomberg.

Spencer’s comments surfaced after it was reported that PlayStation boss Jim Ryan reached out to Activision Blizzard to express his concerns and ask what the company was doing to fix the issue.

Responding to what Ryan and Spencer have reportedly said about situation at Activision Blizzard, a spokesperson for the company told Bloomberg, “We respect all feedback from our valued partners,” adding that “we are committed to the work of ensuring our culture and workplace are safe, diverse, and inclusive.”
