Path Of Exile 2 Gets New Trailer, More Details Coming Later

A new Path of Exile II game­play trail­er was shown dur­ing the Sum­mer Game Fest event today. This is the first new footage shared of the game in over two years.

The trail­er showed a sor­cer­ess-type char­ac­ter elec­tri­fy­ing and blast­ing hordes of ene­mies, and was a rather short teas­er. Path of Exile 2 was orig­i­nal­ly announced in 2019, when game­play was seen for the first time.

Path of Exile II is intro­duc­ing a new sto­ry cam­paign, along with an over­haul of the orig­i­nal engine and game­play. How­ev­er, the sequel will not replace the orig­i­nal game, instead shar­ing endgame sys­tems and oper­at­ing on the same client. Play­ers will have the choice of going through the game’s orig­i­nal cam­paign or the cam­paign of Path of Exile II upon cre­at­ing a new character.

More infor­ma­tion about Path of Exile II, includ­ing the release date for its beta, will be com­ing July 28th as part of devel­op­er Grind­ing Gear Games’ Exile­Con fan convention.
