Hello Games just released another massive update for No Man’s Sky, called Prisms. This update brings support for Deep Learning Super Sampling (DLSS) and improved graphic fidelity, it also includes flying pets, better weather patterns, and more changes.

Prisms, or Update 3.5, largely centers around upgrades to the visual quality and aesthetic of the procedurally generated survival game. Planetary creatures can now have fur; while in the past aliens you’d encounter would largely look reptilian, insect-like, or dinosaur-esc. Environments have also received a refresher; caves are richer and full of life, while skyboxes will show more stars. Prisms also includes improvements to lighting and textures, such as better torch visuals, light refractions, and parallax occlusion mapping.

Not everything in this update is visual changes. Hello Games states you can now make “virtually every lifeform you encounter” into a companion, which includes flying creatures. Additionally, lightning and meteor storms are now visually more complex and will now give resources. If you trace a lightning or meteor strike to its location, you might be able to get storm crystals or harvestable minerals.

You can see the full patch notes below, and there is a lot more than what was mentioned.
