Today has Nin­ten­do and Paper Mario fans shocked, with the com­pa­ny reveal­ing a new Paper Mario game, titled Paper Mario: The Origa­mi King. That was­n’t the only sur­prise, it set to release rather soon on the Nin­ten­do Switch.

Nin­ten­do also released a reveal trail­er for the new Paper Mario, which shows Princess Peach act­ing strange­ly and a new paper men­ace caus­ing all sorts of ruckus. You can see the debut trail­er below:

The game fea­tures a new ring-based bat­tle sys­tem that mix­es puz­zle-solv­ing with this series typ­i­cal turn-based combat. 

Paper Mario: Col­or Splash for the Wii U was a dis­ap­point­ment for the fran­chise, so this may be the title that returns Paper Mario to the top. Paper Mario: The Origa­mi King is releas­ing this sum­mer on July 17th, 2020.
